I'm Tired of All the Information

If you're over the age of 20, you might remember when televisions dictated when you could watch your favorite shows. If you wanted to watch America's Funniest Home Videos, you'd better be have your TV turned on to ABC, channel 8 at exactly 8pm. If Power Rangers was what you wanted to watch, you'd better get home from school by 4:30pm and turn the TV to channel 33.

Now, I exhaust myself attempting to decide what to watch. With dozens of streaming apps with literally THOUSANDS of things to watch, I can scroll through my options for the same amount of time it would take me to watch the entire Lord of the Rings Trilogy. This event is called decision fatigue and it's plaguing you and I every day.

Unlimited choices isn't the only thing causing this either. Complicated information is as well.

I can't tell you how many times I've had an idea and went to Google, or clicked on a Facebook or YouTube ad, or scrolled through Instagram only to feel so frustrated by all the complicated information I found that I just gave up. Six months later I run through the same cycle:

Information > Complicated Information > Decision Fatigue > Frustration > Give up

When I chose to create my website, I almost fell into the same trap. Ok...I did a couple times actually.

So, how did I finally break the cycle? The answer is simple. No, really. That's the answer. Simple. I got away from all the complicated information I found online, and I started writing out simple ideas for my website. When I was confident about each idea, I took my next step.

People who succeed start with simple ideas. Simple ideas that give them confidence to take their next steps. That's why I started this website. To deliver simple ideas to people who want to succeed. To provide simple ideas for the people who are tired of being frustrated by complicated information.

I believe when you have the right simple ideas, you'll have the confidence you need to take your next steps toward success and become the hero of your story.
